Practical benefits for participating universities
The change in entrepreneurial spirit of students can continuously be traced for each university.
The results show universities the delta between the collegiate »perceived« educational programs and infrastructure in relation to the »objective« programs, etc. (shows universities the collegiate, »perceived«; universities’ hurdles and barriers). Thus, the results allow to convey recommendations for action for the respective university strategies.
The results of the survey can serve as a reflection of each university’s own strengths and weaknesses.
Participation in the survey can sensitize the students of participating universities about the field of entrepreneurship and can promote their founding intention and activity.
Practical benefits for country representatives
GUESSS offers the opportunity for country representatives to include country-specific questions in the survey.
The national data will be at the disposal of country representatives after the completion of the survey.
Country representatives are responsible for the national report of their country, which they can publish under their own name. The national report will also be published on the project’s website.
The national data can be used for further publications with reference to the overall project.
Two years after the completion of the survey, country representatives will have access to the international data for further publications.

GUESSS allows for an international comparison on aspects related to entrepreneurship, and therefore substantially supports the scientific community.
GUESSS forms a research platform that, due to the differentiation between panel, focus, and country-specific questions, enables flexibility as well as the systematic evaluation and establishment of explanatory constructs.
The international flair of the project provides a good basis for publication in top scientific journals.
The project’s core team and country delegates meet every two years to exchange information, experiences, and ideas.
Publications based on the GUESSS data will be made accessible (if possible) to the public through the project’s website (in addition, see a complete publications list under LINK). .
